On November 26, 2021, I spoke on a panel during the European Central Bank’s (ECB) Legal Conference 2021 on my forthcoming research.

Earlier this morning (Thursday, November 18, 2021), I presented a paper entitled “Reallocation: Neo-liberal Scripts and the Transformation of European Capitalism and Democracy” for an online conference organized by the Cluster of Excellence: “Contestations of the Liberal Script (Scripts).”

On Wednesday, November 17, I took part in a panel discussion with Nathalie Tocci and Alexandros Yannis on the EU's approach to climate change in view of the Glasgow COP26.

On Tuesday, November 16, 2021, I gave a talk for the video-conference: “The Political Science of Next Generation EU: Exploring Potential Impacts of the New Recovery Fund” organized by the European Parliament Research Service and the European University Institute (Brussels and Florence).

Earlier this morning (Monday, September 27), I took part in the the Fiscal Matters Launch Event: Fiscal Policy a New Era? organized by the New Economics Foundation, the European Environmental Bureau and Finance Watch. The focus of the panel was on “The Future of EU Fiscal Policy.”

I have just had a show of my fine art photography at the Library Gallery of St. John’s Anglican Church in Menton, France. Entitled “Reflections of the Riveira,” the images of sunrises and sunsets in the border area between Bordighera (on the Italian coast) and Cap Martin (on the French coast) were taken during Covid-19, when everyone was in lockdown.

On July 14-15, 2021, I participated in the workshop “EMU at a Crossroads? Economic Governance Reforms in the European Union” hosted by the Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE (Sustainable Architecture for Finance).

On June 16, I participated via teleconference in a policy dialogue organized by Bruegel and the research project EU3D (EU Differentiation, Dominance and Democracy), coordinated by ARENA Centre for European Studies.

On Friday, June 11, I traveled to LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome for my first in-person event in a very long time. I gave a keynote speech entitled “The Discursive Construction of Discontent: Varieties of Populist Anti-System Ideas and Discursive Networks in Europe” for the 10th Conference of the ECPR’s Standing Group on the European Union.

On Friday, June 4, I had the honor of presenting my book for LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome, where I am also an Honorary Professor.

On May 27, I took part in a webinar dedicated to the the discussion of the new books on Europe organized by Arnauld LECLERC, the Télos, Ethos, Nomos de l’Europe (TEN Europa) Jean Monnet Chair at the University of Nantes (DCS).

On May 27, 2021, I participated in a roundtable for the launch of a book (in which I have a chapter) entitled Our European Future, edited and published by the Foundation for European Progressive Studies.

On May 25, I participated in a webinar on the politics of emergency, as part of a series of online talks from UCL’s European Institute and the Department of Public Policy/School of Public Policy.

On Monday, May 24, I took part in a discussion with Bojan Bugaric and Mark Tushnet about their forthcoming book from Oxford University Press: Power to the People: Constitutionalism in an Age of Populism.

On May 21, I gave a presentation entitled “COVID 19 and Its Possible Implications for EU Differentiation” for PhD students in a short course on “A Differentiated Europe and Its Implications” organized by ARENA Center for European Studies, Oslo University.
